In this sermon, we focus on Jesus’ ascension in Acts 1:6–11 and explore three realities from His final moments on earth: Jesus doesn’t always give us what we want, He promises the Holy Spirit and the mission, and He ascends in glory with the promise to return in power.

As we take part in God’s mission—loving our city, planting churches in the West, and bringing the gospel to the nations—we are reminded that this work is done not in our own strength, but through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

After His resurrection, Jesus spent forty days with His disciples, teaching them about one central theme: the Kingdom of God. God is reigning now, yet the world still longs for the fullness of His rule—what Scripture calls the “already, not yet.”

In this message, we explore what the Kingdom of God is, why it matters today, and how Jesus invites us to pray, live, and participate in God’s reign until He returns.

In this sermon, we learned that Jesus isn’t after our money — He’s after our hearts. The way we spend reflects what we value, what we prioritize, and where we place our trust.

This message challenges us to see money for what it truly is: a tool. Not something to be used only for ourselves, but something God desires to work through us.

As we wrapped up Hope for the World 2025, we focused on how each of us can take part in engaging the nations with the gospel. Pastor Scott Worthington preached from Colossians 4:2–4.

In this passage, we learned that prayer is one of the primary ways we join in on what God is doing around the world. As we pray, God—by His sovereignty—chooses to move through the prayers of His people, opening doors of opportunity and inviting us to step into them to proclaim the gospel.
