In this sermon, Pastor Trenton Dorner preaches from Mark 15:21–32, where Jesus was crucified.
From this story, we learn that following Jesus isn’t about watching from a safe distance. It means getting a little bloody ourselves—carrying our own cross as we walk behind Him. Following Jesus may be painful, but He’s worth it.

The Gospel of Mark | Mockery vs. Majesty
Sunday Jul 13, 2025
Sunday Jul 13, 2025
In this sermon, Pastor Ricky Harris preaches from Mark 15:16–20, where Jesus is mocked.
We sat with the weight of Jesus’ suffering—every strike, every insult, every wound He took willingly. But we didn’t stop there. We also looked at His victory. Jesus endured it all so we could be free, and because of His triumph over sin and death, we now have salvation!

The Gospel of Mark | Jesus, Pilate, Barabbas, and You
Sunday Jul 06, 2025
Sunday Jul 06, 2025
In this sermon, Pastor Scott Worthington preaches from Mark 15:1–15, where Jesus is delivered to Pilate, Barabbas is released, and Jesus is handed over to be crucified.
Barabbas was a wicked, guilty, and condemned man—yet the crowd chose to set him free and crucify Jesus, the innocent and righteous one, in his place. As followers of Jesus, we must recognize that Barabbas is a reflection of us. We were the guilty ones, and Jesus, the righteous one, became our substitute. That’s the good news of the gospel. May we take the time to sit and reflect upon what Jesus has done for us.

Marked by Prayer Week 2: Then God Works
Sunday Jun 29, 2025
Sunday Jun 29, 2025
In this sermon, Pastor Trenton Dorner preaches from Matthew 7:7–11.
At Hope Church, we believe that we don’t pray before we work, prayer is the work, and then God works. In Week 1 of Marked by Prayer, we learned that prayer is our part. This week, we explored several ways God works in response to our prayers.
We also tackled questions like:
• Why haven’t I received what I’ve been praying for?
• Why doesn’t God always respond quickly?
• Do I even need to pray if God already knows what I need?

The Gospel of Mark | Peter Denies Jesus
Sunday Jun 15, 2025
Sunday Jun 15, 2025
In this sermon, Pastor Scott Worthington preaches from Mark 14:66–72, where Peter denies Jesus.
The Jesus that Peter was experiencing was different than the Jesus that Peter wanted, and that led him to deny knowing Him. Unfortunately, we see this still happening today where many follow a version of Jesus they hope will bring success or fulfill their dreams, but when He doesn’t, they, like Peter, may say, “I don’t know that man.”
Peter’s story invites us to ask: Am I following Jesus for who He truly is, or for who I want Him to be? Watch the full sermon to dive deeper.

As we studied the scriptures, we learned that even when life doesn’t go the way we hoped, God’s plan for our lives is still perfect. If you’re in a hard season, this message is for you - give it a listen.

Sunday Jun 01, 2025
Sunday Jun 01, 2025
In this sermon, Pastor Scott Worthington preached from Mark 14:43-52 - when Jesus was arrested.
On the night of Jesus’ arrest, we see these four moments happening: (1) Judas betrays Jesus, (2) Peter strikes the servant of the high priest, (3) Jesus being arrested, and (4) the disciples fleeing. We take a look at each moment and receive applications we can begin wrestling with in our walk with God. Check out this sermon to learn more!

The Gospel of Mark | The Wrestle in the Garden
Sunday May 25, 2025
Sunday May 25, 2025
In this sermon, Pastor Trenton Dorner preached from Mark 14:32-42 - the story of Jesus praying in Gethsemane.
In the garden, Jesus was in a place of crushing as He faced the decision to either remain obedient to the Father’s will or do what was comfortable. As Christians, we will have our own ‘garden moments’ and if we’re honest, obedience to God doesn’t feel peaceful or rewarding, but painful. So, what do we do when the weight of obedience feels heavy? The Gospel of Mark | See You In Galilee
Sunday May 18, 2025
Sunday May 18, 2025
We are back in our Gospel of Mark sermon series, and in this sermon, Pastor Tom McCormick preached from Mark 14:26-31. As humans, we have the capacity to sin and until Jesus returns, in our flesh, we will struggle with sin. The good news is, Jesus’ grace, mercy, and forgiveness is greater than the sum of all our prideful sin! Check out this sermon to learn more.
